An Emergency Care Summary is a basic summary of information about your health. This is important if you need urgent medical care at times when the surgery is closed, or if you attend an Accident & Emergency Department. The summary allows NHS staff looking after you to get important information about your health. The summary includes your name, date of birth, the GP surgery you are registered at, medications you are prescribed, and if you have any allergies or bad reactions to medications.
